Logical configuration in building A
Figure 3.2-3 Network configuration diagram (Building A)
In building A, two AX6300S series switches are used as core switches (devices AC1 and AC2). These core
switches are connected to AX2400S series switches (devices AF1 and AF2) installed on each floor by using the
Ring Protocol (RING11). Devices AC1 and AC2 are also used to form a ring for the inter-building network
(RING10), resulting in a multi-ring configuration.
Also, the server farm is located in this building and connected to devices AC1 and AC2 via the AX3600S
series switch (device AS1). The Ring Protocol (RING5) provides redundancy between the server and devices
AC1 and AC2.
In terms of the Ring Protocol, devices AC1 and AC2 serve as shared nodes, and a multi-ring with RING5,
RING10, and RING11 is configured. In these rings, RING10 is configured as a shared link monitoring ring
(O-shaped ring) and the other two rings are configured as shared link non-monitoring rings (C-shaped rings).
