3.5 Adding a user ID and deleting the operator user ID

[Step 1] Creating a user ID and setting the login password

Create a new user ID and set the login password.

The following example shows how to create the user ID newuser and set a password for it.

NOTE

ALAXALA Networks Corporation recommends that you use six or more characters

for the password. If a password consisting of fewer than six characters is entered, an

error is displayed. A password of fewer than six characters can still be used by

entering it again. Passwords cannot exceed 128 characters. If you enter 129 or

more characters, only the first 128 characters are registered for the password. Note

that a password should include both alphabetic and numeric characters as well as

symbols. Note that if you enter only lower-case characters, an error is displayed. A

password with only lower-case characters can still be used by entering it again.

[Step 2] Deleting the operator user ID

Delete the default user ID (operator).
