[Step 4] Installing a transceiver
If you purchased a transceiver, install it.
Insert the transceiver with the lever raised as shown in the following figure until you hear a
click.

NOTE
The above figure is an example of when an SFP transceiver is installed into the
upper SFP slot of a model with two SFP slots. For models with one SFP slot, install a
transceiver in the direction shown in the figure.
Note, however, that when installing a transceiver in the lower SFP slot of models
with two SFP slots, turn the transceiver upside down and install it as shown in the
figure below.
NOTE
Use the same procedure to install an SFP+ transceiver into an SFP+ slot and to
install an XFP transceiver into an XFP slot.

[Step 5] Connecting the setup terminal
Connect the setup terminal to the Switch.
