When using RADIUS authentication, specifies MAC address format for authentication
requests to the RADIUS server.
Syntax
To set or change information:
mac-authentication id-format <Type> [capitals]
To delete information:
no mac-authentication id-format

Sets MAC address format used when an authentication request is sent to the
RADIUS server.
1. Default value when this parameter is omitted:
This parameter cannot be omitted.
2. Range of values:
0 to 3
0: xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx
1: xxxxxxxxxxxx
2: xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
3: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

Use this parameter to set a MAC address used when an authentication request is
sent to the RADIUS server in hexadecimal uppercase format.
1. Default value when this parameter is omitted:
Lowercase characters are used.
2. Range of values:
capitals
Default behavior
Authentication requests are sent to the RADIUS server in hexadecimal lowercase
character format, such as
Type 0 (xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx).

When the change is applied
The change is applied immediately after setting values are changed.
