▪ If the skid plates are worn (sliding edge

24-1) worn through, turn 180° and use
the other side (
24).

Checking the tyre pressure
Checkthetyrepressurebeforetherstuseinwinterand
thenatleastonceeverythreemonthsduringtheperiod
of use.
The maximum allowed tyre pressure is indicated on
the tyres (
20-1).Note:1bar=approximately14.5psi
Inspecting the machine
Eachtimebeforestarting,checktomakesurethatthe
four shear pins (
25-1) are intact.
Replace broken shear pins with original replacement
parts.Usingunauthorisedreplacementpartsmaycause
severe damage to the machine! See the replacement
partslistwhenorderingreplacements.
Check all controls, safety devices, nuts, screws and bolts
onthemachinetomakesurethattheyarermlysecured
andingoodcondition,andandthatnopartsaremissing.
Starting the engine
Danger - risk of poisoning!
Never leave the engine running in an enclosed
space.

Choke
CLOSE OPEN
Gas
Fast Slow
Engine key
Off On
Fuel tap Closed
Open
Primerbutton
Starting procedure
1. Check the oil and fuel levels.
2. Open the fuel tap (
27).
3. Set the choke to ON (
27-1).
4. Presstheprimerbutton3timesat2-secondinter-
vals(
28-1).Intemperaturesunder10°C,press
theprimerbutton5times.
5. Move the throttle to the Fast position (
29).
6. Insert the engine key (
30-1).
 Starting manually:
7. Pull the starter rope lightly until you feel resistance,
then pull out briskly and allow the rope to return
slowly (
31).
