▪ If the skid plates are worn (sliding edge

24-1) worn through, turn 180° and use
the other side (
24).

Checking the tyre pressure
Checkthetyrepressurebeforetherstuseinwinterand
thenatleastonceeverythreemonthsduringtheperiod
of use.
The maximum allowed tyre pressure is indicated on
the tyres (
20-1).Note:1bar=approximately14.5psi
Inspecting the machine
Eachtimebeforestarting,checktomakesurethatthe
four shear pins (
25-1) are intact.
Replace broken shear pins with original replacement
parts.Usingunauthorisedreplacementpartsmaycause
severe damage to the machine! See the replacement
partslistwhenorderingreplacements.
Check all controls, safety devices, nuts, screws and bolts
onthemachinetomakesurethattheyarermlysecured
andingoodcondition,andandthatnopartsaremissing.
Starting the engine
Danger - risk of poisoning!
Never leave the engine running in an enclosed
space.
Position indicators:
Choke
CLOSE OPEN
Gas
Fast Slow
Engine key
Off On
Fuel tap Closed
Open
Primerbutton
Starting procedure
1. Check the oil and fuel levels.
2. Open the fuel tap (
27).
3. Set the choke to ON (
27-1).
4. Presstheprimerbutton3timesat2-secondinter-
vals(
28-1).Intemperaturesunder10°C,press
theprimerbutton5times.
5. Move the throttle to the Fast position (
29).
6. Insert the engine key (
30-1).
Starting manually:
7. Pull the starter rope lightly until you feel resistance,
then pull out briskly and allow the rope to return
slowly (
31).
