Application
1. Use cartridge in standard caulking gun. Trim cartridge tip to
desired bead size.
2. Use in joints of maximum width and depth of ⅜ in. (9.6 mm).
Deep cracks can be partially filled with sand or backer rod
prior to application.
3. The repair can be tooled to even out the surface. Excess
material may be cleaned with a damp cloth before drying.
4. Air and surface temperature should be above 40°F (4°C) for
proper application. Do not apply if rain threatens or is
predicted within 12 hours.
Curing
Product should be air-cured. Wait at least 24 hours before
painting. Use latex paints only.
Clean Up
Use soapy water to clean hands and tools immediately after
use. Dried material must be mechanically removed.
Limitations
Follow all industry standard safety procedures when handling,
such as gloves and eye protection.
Do not use for structural repairs to a badly damaged wall.
Do not apply over concrete cured less than 7 days, or is
frozen or contains frost.

Seller warrants that its product will conform to and perform in
accordance with the product specifications. The foregoing
warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied,
including, but not limited to those concerning merchantability
and fitness for a particular purpose. Because of the difficulty in

3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Akona Mortar Repair is designed for tuck-pointing, repairing,
and sealing mortar joints and cracks in masonry units such as
stone, brick and block walls. The product is gray in color and
designed to blend in with the texture of surrounding mortar.
Mortar Repair is a sanded acrylic formulation that is fast
drying, paintable and provides superior adhesion to masonry.
For maximum joint width in. (9.6 mm) and maximum depth
⅜ in. (9.6 mm).

5. INSTALLATION
Preparation
Read all directions before starting work. Proper surface
preparation is crucial to achieving a successful application.
1. Always remove all loose and unsound materials. Thoroughly
clean all surfaces of dirt, dust, grease, or other contaminants
which could interfere with bonding.
2. For better adhesion, surfaces should be dry.
Note: It is the responsibility of the installer/applicator to ensure
the suitability of the product for its intended use.
