C 542 BL BOUNDARY-LAYER MICROPHONE

The C 542 BL is an excellent tool for accurately capturing the
“room sound” of acoustic instruments, ensembles or choirs in record-
ing applications. The C 542 BL can be attached to the walls or floor
of a studio or even directly onto an instrument permanently or tem-
porarily using the supplied adhesive compound. It can also be placed
on the lid of a grand piano and deliver spectacular results. The
ultra-thin case doesn’t color the sound and since the front-facing
transducer picks up direct sound from the source and the reflections
from the surface, everything is accurately reproduced.

These professional headsets from AKG have been designed for

ation, and outstanding audio quality, the HSC and HSD Series profes-
sional headsets use the same proven detachable cable as the
Studio Series headphones. So should a cable become defective under
the enormous stress of day-to-day broadcast work, it can be replaced
quickly and without any tools.
The flexible microphone arm swivels through a 270-
degree arc and mutes the microphone automatically as
you move it up – no need to fumble for a mute button! Also, you
can wear the microphone to the left or right of your mouth depend-
ing on your preferences or available space.
Commentators, off-camera moderators, camera operators, or
sound engineers – AKG professional headsets are always the perfect
tools for any application in professional audio and satisfy every user’s
personal preferences. The HSD 271 is also available in a special
version with a single earphone.

The miniature C 562 CM is designed for flush mounting in
ceilings, walls, conference tables, stage sets, etc., with an attached
cable terminating in a 1/8" (3.5 mm) male jack which threads
through the 1/2" mounting hole. An accompanying phantom power
adapter provides electronically balanced low impedance output via an
XLR connector.
