SE100 microSD Card Slot Cover Protective Film USB Type-C Cable Quick Start Guide & Warranty Card Protective Film: Protects the product’s screen. microSD Card Slot Cover: The cover is used to protect the microSD card slot when not in use. It is installed on the product by default. USB Type-C Cable: For charging and data transfer.

Next/Fast-Forward: Short press - Play the next song. Press and hold - Fast-forward current song. Home Button: Press to return to the Home Screen.
User Guide Power Management Powering the Device On/Off 1. Press and hold the [Power] button to turn on the device. 2. While the device is on, press and hold the [Power] button to shut down the device. A confirmation message will appear. 3. Press [OK] to turn off the device. This device has an automatic shutdown feature to save battery power.
User Guide Charging Charging via Computer Connection 1. Connect the USB Type-C cable to a computer to charge the product. Computer may need to be turned on to start charging depending on computer specifications. When charging via computer connection, the charging time may vary depending on whether the device is turned on or off. Some computers in power-saving mode may not charge the device. The built-in battery will gradually lose capacity over time with repeated charging/running-down.
User Guide Connections 3.5mm Unbalanced Port 1. Connect earphones or headphones to the 3.5mm unbalanced port. OR 2.5mm Balanced Port 1. Connect earphones or headphones to the 2.5mm balanced port. OR Balanced Audio Device 1. Connect to an external audio device by using the 3.5mm unbalanced port and 2.5mm balanced port.
User Guide Connecting to Computer 1. Turn on the device and your computer. 2. Connect the device to your computer using the USB Type-C cable and select one of the following settings on the device [Menu - Settings - USB mode] [Default] Media Device (USB Drive): Transfer files from a computer to the device. DAC Input: Listen to music on a connected computer through the device. (See Page 36) Mac users need to download and install Android File Transfer from the Astell&Kern website. User Guide Copy Files (Folders) to the Device 1. To copy files/folders from your computer, select the desired files/folders and drag & drop them into the device folder. Ensure the USB Type-C cable is properly connected. Turning off the device or disconnecting the USB Type-C cable while copying or moving files/folders may corrupt files or device memory. File transfer speeds may be affected by the computer and/or the OS environment.
User Guide Delete Files (or Folders) from the Device 1. Right-click the desired file/folder, and then select [Delete]. 2. Select [Yes] in the [Confirm File/Folder Deletion] window to delete the selected files/folders. Disconnecting from the Computer 1. Disconnect the USB Type-C cable after file transfer is complete. Disconnecting the device from the computer during a file transfer may corrupt data on the device.
User Guide Insert/Remove a microSD Card 1. Refer to the diagram and gently insert a microSD card into the microSD card slot. 2. To safely remove a microSD card, select [Safely remove SD card] from the Notification Bar or select [Dismount microSD card] from [Menu - Settings - System Information]. 3. Gently press the microSD card in to unlock and release it from the slot.
User Guide Notes on Using microSD Cards If the microSD card is not recognized or is not functioning properly, format the card, preferably as a FAT32 partition. You can reformat the card via computer or Settings - System Information - Erase microSD Card. All contents will be erased and card will be reformatted in FAT32. Using cards other than the recommended microSD card may cause issues. A microSD card is not included in the product package. microSD cards must be purchased separately.
User Guide Basic Operations LCD Touchscreen 1. This device features an LCD touchscreen that allows you to select options by touching the screen. Use the touchscreen to access various features on the device. To prevent damage to the screen, do not use a sharp object or excessive force. Return to the Home Screen 1. Press [ ] to go to the Home Screen.
User Guide From the Home Screen, swipe your finger to the left, right, up or down from any edge of the touchscreen to access display menus. Each side of the Home Screen will activate a different display menu. Main Menu 1. From the left edge of the touchscreen, swipe your finger right to display the Main Menu. Music files extracted using the AK CD-Ripper accessory that are stored in the Ripping folder of the internal memory will be displayed in the CD library menu.

User Guide Listening to Music Selecting Music 1. Select a category from the menu to display the corresponding music list. 2. Select a song from the list to begin playback. Select [Folder] to search music by folder. User Guide Playlist Management Creating a Playlist 1. Press [Playlists] on the menu to view the playlists. 2. Select [ + ] in the upper right corner of the screen. 3. Enter a name for the playlist, and then press [Add] to create a new playlist. Adding a Song to a Playlist 1. Press [Playlists] to display the list of playlists. 2. Select a playlist and press [+ Add Song] to display a list of songs by album. 3. Select a song and press [Add] to add the song to the selected playlist.
User Guide Removing a Song from a Playlist 1. Press [Playlists] to display the list of playlists. 2. Select the playlist to edit. 3. Press [ ] at the top, then select the song you want to delete from the playlist. 4. Press [ ] on top of the screen. 5. Press [DELETE] to remove the song from the selected playlist. This action will only remove the song from the selected playlist, not the memory. Playing a Playlist 1. Select the desired playlist for playback. 2.
User Guide Renaming a Playlist 1. Press [Playlists] to view the playlists, and press [ ]. 2. Select a playlist to be renamed. 3. Press [ ] at the top of the screen to display the RENAME window. 4. Enter a name for the playlist and then press [RENAME] to confirm the change. Deleting a Playlist 1. Press [Playlists] to view the playlists and press [ ]. 2. Select the playlist to be deleted. 3. Press [ ] at the top of the screen. 4. Press [DELETE] to delete the selected playlist.
User Guide USB DAC Installation The USB DAC function allows the device to be recognized as a sound card on a computer. Music from the computer is played through the device’s headphone port for an enhanced listening experience. User Guide How to Use USB Audio Connect the device to a portable amp or DAC using USB Audio Out. How to Connect a Portable USB DAC 1. Connect the portable USB DAC to the AK device’s USB Type-C port with a dedicated cable. 2. Press [ 3. User Guide CD Ripping CDs can be ripped directly to the device using the AK CDRIPPER (sold separately). Connecting the AK CD-RIPPER 1. Connect the AK CD-RIPPER to USB Type-C port of the device using the proper cable. 2. In the Notification Bar press [ ] to link the devices and activate the CD Ripping Menu. 3. When ripping is complete, before disconnecting, press [ ] on the Notification Bar to unlink/disconnect the devices.
User Guide 2. Connect AK CD-RIPPER and insert CD to display the [CD Ripping] notification at the bottom of the Notification Bar. 3. Press [CD Ripping] and select from the file format options of FLAC or WAV. 4. If Wi-Fi is turned on the Gracenote database will be searched for matching CD metadata after the file format is selected. 5. When the database search is complete, press [Start] to begin CD ripping.
User Guide Settings The settings menu allows users to customize the device. The settings menu may vary depending on the firmware version. Setup 1. Select [Main Menu - Settings] or select [ ] from the Notification Bar menu. 2. Select the feature to view setting options. Wi-Fi Change wireless network settings and turn Wi-Fi on/off See page 44 for more information on connecting to Wi-Fi. Bluetooth Connect a Bluetooth device to listen to music wirelessly.
User Guide Equalizer Set the equalizer according to the user's preferences. USER EQ: Adjust the frequencies according to the user's preferences. Supported Formats for EQ: PCM [8 ~ 192kHz(8/16/24bit)] Using the equalizer may negatively affect device performance. See pages 47 - 49 for more information on using the equalizer. Gapless Playback Plays the next song without any interruption. Gapless playback is only supported between two files with identical bit rates, sample rates, and channels.
User Guide CD Ripping Set the automatic CD ripping function, file format and ripping speed seetings. USB mode Media Device (USB Drive): When connected to a computer, device appears as a removable drive. DAC Input: Output sound from a connected computer to the device. USB Audio Select the type of DSD sound being outputted through USB Audio Out to a connected portable DAC. Screen Brightness Adjust screen brightness settings. Date & Time Set the current date and time.

English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), French, Russian, German, and Spanish. Keyboard Select the keyboard language. User Guide When using AK Connect to download music, if the [Default folder] is selected in settings, downloading will automatically begin to the pre-set Downloads folder. When [Select Folder] is selected, the user is prompted to choose a download folder each time a file is downloaded. Update System Update: Update the device when a new firmware version is available. Application Update: Update the default applications installed on the device (including the Store) when new versions are available.
User Guide Connecting to Wi-Fi Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network 1. Press and hold [ ] from the Notification Bar or select [Menu - Settings - Wi-Fi] to display a list of available Wi-Fi networks. 2. Select the desired Wi-Fi network name to connect to the wireless network. Additional information such as Wi-Fi password may be required depending on Wi-Fi settings. Networks requiring browser or other additional certifications are not supported.
User Guide Using Bluetooth Connect a Bluetooth device to listen to music wirelessly. Turning Bluetooth On/Off A Bluetooth device must be paired with the device prior to use. Refer to the Bluetooth device's instruction manual for details. 1. Select [ ] from the Notification Bar menu or select [On/Off] from [Menu - Settings - Bluetooth]. Bluetooth Pairing 1. In the Settings Menu, select the appropriate Bluetooth device from the list of available devices. Disconnect a Bluetooth Device 1.
User Guide Removing a Bluetooth Pairing 1. Press [ ] to the right of the paired device to go to settings. 2. Select [Remove] to complete the process. Bluetooth Support Specifications Profile: A2DP, aptX HD Device performance may be affected during Hi-Res playback. Do not turn off the device while connected to Bluetooth. Turn the Bluetooth device off then on in case of issue. Pairing methods may differ for individual Bluetooth devices. Always refer to the Bluetooth device’s instruction manual for details.
User Guide Equalizer Setup Equalizer Setup 1. Press and hold [ ] on the Notification Bar or turn on from [Menu - Settings - Equalizer]. 2. Press [NORMAL] to activate the drop-down menu and select [ + ]. 3. Enter a name for the custom EQ settings and select [SAVE].

User Guide Safety PreCautions Device Do not use excessive force when inserting a plug into the earphone, balanced, or USB port. Do not insert any metal objects (coins, hairpins, etc.) or flammable items into the device. Do not place heavy objects on the device. If the device gets wet (rain, water, chemicals, medicine, cosmetics, sweat, moisture, etc.), allow the device to dry thoroughly before powering on. Contact the nearest IRIVER Customer Support Center for service.
User Guide Connecting the cable to a defective or damaged USB port on a computer may damage the device. Displaying one static image for an extended period of time may cause screen burn-in. Use of poor quality protective films or adhesive stickers on the screen may cause damage to the touchscreen. Do not insert any foreign objects into the headphone or USB Type-C ports. Playing and charging the device may generate heat, so handle carefully. Product’s corners may be sharp, so handle carefully.
User Guide Troubleshooting Solutions to Common Issues 1. The device won't turn on. The battery may need to be recharged. Charge the device for at least one hour and try again. Reset the device. (See Page 5) 2. The device will not charge when connected to a computer via USB cable. Connect to the computer using the provided USB Type-C cable. Connect the device to a USB wall adapter using the provided USB Type-C cable to charge directly from a wall outlet. 3.
User Guide 7. A file does not play, or the product becomes unstable when a certain file is played. File may be damaged or corrupt if the following occurs: Playback stops or freezes. Device may act erratically or freeze. File may sound different on another device. There may be a difference in the performance of playback or other functions. There may be differences in the file specs. Converting the file to a different format or use of a different file is recommended.

User Guide Body-Worn operation This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the portable music player kept 5mm from the body. To maintain compliance requirements, use only belt-clips, holsters or similar accessories that maintain a 5mm separation distance between the user’s body and the back of the portable music player, including the antenna. The use of belt-clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly.
