Installing the BSDU

The WipLL Base Station Distribution Unit (BSDU) is an optional WipLL unit that

connects multiple BSRs at a base station. The BSDU is installed in the customer’s

cabinet at the base station.

The BSDU provides the following:

! Serves up to six BSRs. Up to four BSDUs can be daisy-chained in a single base

station to support up to 24 BSRs.

! Power supply of –48 VDC to BSRs.

! Wide Area Network (WAN) interface to the customer’s backhaul network.

! Frequency-hop synchronization.
