5.6 The Micro-Cellular Application

Most “Microcellular” applications (GSM 900 and DSC 1800, and PCS 1900) require one or

two GSM transceivers for efficient use of the cellular spectrum. This means that the

requirement is for 2-6 x 64 kbit/s. The ST-D128 provides 2 x 64 kbit/s. Higher bit rates can

be provided by using multiple ST-D128s and a mux to increase the bandwidth.
