CREATE SITE

A Site is a managed collection of Sitespan Network Elements. In practice a Site consists of

several Racks of differing types, usually co-located, and managed by one Sitespan Server

machine. Each Site has a unique name within its Server peer group and can be displayed in a

separate window with the Equipment View. To create a site a connection to a Server machine a

must already be established.

STEP PROCEDURE

1. With the Sitespan Equipment View opening screen displayed select server from the Server

Object List and choose Connect Server from the Edit Menu to connect to the server.

2. From the Edit Menu select Create Site. A default site is loaded into the Network[Object List,

Site] window.

3. Select the newly created site by clicking the field in the Network[Object List, Site] window.
