Term Meaning
Click Press and release quickly a mouse button
Double-click Click the mouse button twice in rapid succession
Drag Hold down the mouse button while moving the mouse
Point Move the mouse until the mouse pointer on the screen rests on the required item
Select Point to the required item on the screen and click the mouse button.

Both the left and right buttons of a mouse are used in this point and select mode. The left
mouse button is used to select menus radio buttons and insertion points. The right mouse
button invokes a menu related to the object being pointed
