STEP PROCEDURE
Observe full ESD precautions.
1. System Soak The system must be switched on for at least 2 hours to ensure that it
is fully warmed up before proceeding any further. To minimise the down time the
test equipment can be prepared during this time ready for testing.
2. Preparation
a) Disconnect the Sitespan cables from the 25 way EM/Sitespan port on the
modem backplane
b) Set up the Sitespan with an empty database Set the modem shelf properties
(Shelf Frequency and PN codes) to the same as the existing modem shelf.
