5 Turn on the FreeStyle or FreeStyle 5 by pressing
the numeric ow selection button of the pulse
ow setting prescribed by your physician to turn
on the device.
A brief audible alarm will sound to indicate the
device has powered on and the green light above
the ow selection button you pressed should
remain illuminated.
6 Position the nasal cannula on your face per the
manufacturer’s instructions provided with the
cannula and breathe normally.
You should feel a puff of oxygen delivered
through the nasal cannula each time you inhale.
The green light above the selected ow rate
button will blink with each dose of oxygen
delivered.
7 To change the ow setting, press the numeric
button of the new desired ow rate. It is normal
to hear a difference in sound as you change the
ow settings.
8 Turn the FreeStyle or FreeStyle 5 off by pressing
the button corresponding to the pulse ow
indicator light that is illuminated.
