Using the Main Menu
The Main Menu contains the following options:
Quick Setup: Allows the novice user to setup any Aironet Client Card
with the minimum requirements.
Edit Configuration-ARLAN.CFG: Allows you to edit all parameters
in the ARLAN.CFG file.
Perform Diagnostics: Allows you to run a diagnostics test on the Client
Card installed.
Configure Device: Configures the Client Card with the parameters you
have set.
Perform Linktest: Allows you to test the link quality between the Cli-
ent Card and other nodes on the Radio Network.
Upgrade Firmware: Allows you to upgrade the firmware for the Client
Card.
Exit ARLANDGS: Used to exit out of ARLANDGS.
Performing Quick Setup
Quick setup allows novice users with little knowledge of Aironet equip-
ment to setup a network with the minimum requirements. Experienced
users should select Edit Configuration-ARLAN.CFG. Quick setup pre-
sents you with a series of screens, and will prompt you to enter values
for several different fields.
To Use Quick Setup:
1. Choose Perform Quick Setup from the Main Menu.
A screen appears providing you with a brief description of Quick
Setup.
2. If you wish to continue with Quick Setup, press Y or click on Yes
with the mouse.
