ARLANDGS Overview
(Router and Access Point are used interchangeably throughout this
Chapter)
Client cards are configured everytime the client card network driver is
loaded. Aironet’s DOS based diagnostic utility (ARLANSDGS) provides
a method for testing configuration, parameters, hardware, and radio per-
formance.
Table 3.1 below lists the files (from the configuration disk) you will
need to run ARLANDGS. These files are located in the Root Directory
of the Aironet Configuration diskette.
Table 3.1 - Client Card Diagnostic Utilities
File Description
ARLANDGS.EXE The ARLAN Diagnostic/Setup Utility Program
allows you to:
Display the existing system configuration
parameters for the Aironet Client Card
Edit and set the system configuration parameters
Run hardware diagnostics
Test the radio link.
ARLAN.CFG The System Configuration File:
Holds the system configuration parameters
Saves the parameters after they have been edited.
ARLANDGS.RES National language text resource file
ARLANDGS.COL User defined color configuration file
