Client Card Driver Installation 2 - 5
Windows NT Installation Guidelines
You will need the following:
Windows NT system installation files (hard disk, floppy disk, or
CD)
Aironet driver diskette
1. Insert the Aironet Wireless Client Card into your computer.
2. Power up your computer and allow Windows NT to start.
3. Double click on
My Computer
.
4. Double click on
Control Panel
.
5. Double click on
Devices
.
6. Verify the following configuration is in the Devices list:
PCMCIA STARTED BOOT
7. Click on
Close
.
8. Under Control Panel, double click on
Network
.
9. Select the
Adapter
tab.
10. Click
ADD
.
11. Select
Have Disk
.
12. Insert the Aironet driver diskette in A:.
13. When prompted for the file location, insert the Aironet driver dis-
kette in drive A: and type A:\NDIS3.
14. Highlight the appropriate Aironet Wireless Client Adapter and click
OK
.
15. Enter the information appropriate to your RF network.
16. Click
OK
to the warning message:
“The current netcard parameters are not verifiably correct...”
17. Click
Apply
