where
<1> = Part number string (up to 32 ASCII characters)
<2> = Serial number string (up to 32 ASCII characters)
Notes
The part number and serial number strings may not contain the following
characters:
"$" (dollar sign)
"," (comma)
"*" (asterisk)
" " (space)
