When you move the cordless mouse across the workspace, the pointer’s movement seems
to lag or skip in some applications.
Your Bluetooth wireless connection may be slow. See page 35 for tips on optimizing the Bluetooth
wireless connection.
The cordless mouse buttons don’t work as expected.
Press a mouse button. If the Power indicator remains blue, press a function button. If the Power
indicator now turns green, there may be a problem with the cordless mouse. However, if the Power
indicator still remains blue, there may be a problem with the slate. Contact SMART Technical
Support (page 43).
After you customized the settings for the tethered pen, cordless mouse or the function
buttons, the cordless mouse didn’t work as expected.
Restart your computer. The cordless mouse should work correctly when the wireless connection is
automatically reestablished.
The function buttons don’t work as expected.
Press the SMART Board icon in the system tray (Windows computers) or in the Dock (Macintosh
computers), and press Control Panel. Press Pen and Button Settings and confirm that the
function buttons are set to the function you want.
Press a function button. If the Power indicator remains blue, place the cordless mouse on the
slate’s workspace and press a mouse button. If the Power indicator now turns green, there may be
a problem with the function button. However, if the Power indicator still remains blue, there may be
a problem with the slate. Contact SMART Technical Support (page 43).

The connected computer is linked to multiple displays, but you can’t move the pointer from
one display to another.
1. Press the SMART Board icon in the system tray (Windows computers) or in the Dock
(Macintosh computers), and press Control Panel.
2. Press SMART Board Settings.
3. If more than one SMART product displays, press the AirLiner wireless slate.
4. Select Orientation/Alignment Settings from the drop-down list.
5. Select Entire Surface from the list.
NOTE: There are different methods for defining the arrangement of multiple displays,
depending on your operating system. For further information, refer to the instructions for your
operating system.
