7 – PUSH the electronic filter all the way into the
filter rack.
8 – CONFIRM that the 24 vac power lead wire is not
being pinched or in a position to be damaged by any
cover that may exist. The cover may need to be modified
and electrical tape can be wrapped around the power
supply cord to protect it from damage.
9 – TURN the power ON at the air handler.
10 - RETURN the thermostat to the As Found position.
Operating Instructions
1- The electronic filter will only provide filtering when the air recirculation fan is operating and
the filter is powered-up. During seasons when more filtration of the indoor air is desired the
air recirculation fan could be left in the ON position and returned to the desired position
when less filtration is needed.
2- Depending on the amount and type of indoor activities, the season, and the method of home
heating the electronic filter media pads should be changed regularly. Experience will dictate
the appropriate change interval but once every three months could be appropriate to
maintain adequate air flow in most air delivery systems.
Maintenance Instructions
NOTE
Always handle the filter by the outside frames. This will prevent damage to the outside screens.
CAUTION
NEVER open the electronic filter with the filter powered-up. ALWAYS unplug the filter at the
jack on the filter power head before opening the electronic filter.
To change the electronic filter media pads:
1- Turn the thermostat to the OFF position.
2- Turn the furnace/air handler power to OFF.
3- Unplug the power lead wire at the jack on the electronic filter power head.
4- Remove the electronic filter and place on a flat surface.
