Controls
As standard the units are supplied with an microprocessor controller
connected to a 4x20 back-lit LCD display keypad.
The microprocessor controller can be linked together locally to provide
run/standby operation. Windows based supervisor software is also available for local or
remote networking. This modular approach provides great flexibility while at the same
time reducing installation and maintenance costs.
A real time clock card is fitted as standard to provide date and time stamping on alarms.
GENERAL
The display keypad features a simple array of keys to navigate through the in
built menus.
A combined temperature and humidity sensor is mounted in the return air with an option
for remote mounting within the conditioned space.
The temperature sensor is a NTC type thermistor accurate up to +/- 0.25°C and the
humidity sensor accurate to +/- 3%.
The Airedale microprocessor senses the Return Air conditions and maintains the Return
air Temperature and Humidity conditions by controlling cooling, heating, humidification
and dehumidification outputs accordingly. The supply air temperature is monitored by the
controller providing an option of Supply Air temperature limiting.
TEMPERATURE
CONTROL
The microprocessor monitors and displays the following values:
MONITORING
· Return Air Temperature
· Return Air Humidity
· Supply Air Temperature
· Condensing Pressure
(Optional on [DX] units only)
· Glycol Temperature
(Glycol free cooling units only)
· Chilled Water Flow Temperature
(Chilled Water units only)
· Chilled Water Return Temperature
(Chilled Water units only)
An Visual alarm will be generated under the following conditions:
ALARM HANDLING
· Return air temperature high limit
· Return air temperature low limit
· Return air humidity high limit
· Return air humidity low limit
· Supply air temperature high limit
· Supply air temperature low limit
· Glycol temperature low limit
(DX free cooling units only)
· Frost protection low limit
(LPHW option only)
· Airflow failure
· Compressor failure (DX units only)
· Low pressure trip (DX units only)
· Electric Heating Overheat cut-out
· Filter change alarm
· Manual override
· Fire/smoke alarm
· Water Flood
· Power fail reset
· Communications failure
· Humidifier alarm (low production, no
water supply etc)
· Maintenance - fan and compressor
(once hours run limit exceeded)
ALARM LOG
The controller logs and allows viewing of the last 100 conditions recorded in descending
chronological order through the keypad display
