Condensate Removal
The non-cycling refrigerated air dryer uses a
refrigeration circuit to cool the compressed air
which causes moisture to condense. The condensed
moisture is separated from the dry air and purged
through an automatic drain.
1. Condensatedownstreamofdryer:
• Iftheunitisequippedwithautomaticdrain
override switch, push manual override
button to test drain flow.
• Ensureautomaticelectronictimer(if
applicable) is functioning properly.
• Ensuremoistureseparator(and
coalescer)drainlinesarefreefromblockage.
• Iftheunitisequippedwithy-strainer,
disassemble and clean.
• Ifoilisdownstreamfromthedryer:
- Oil coalescer element is saturated.
-Dryernotturnedonduringairusage.
Other
Sometimesawateroroilproblemdownstream
from the dryer can be identified by an inadvertent
action or inaction by the operator.
