5: Troubleshooting
This chapter provides suggestions for troubleshooting problems that may
arise when using your mobile hotspot.
The Wi-Fi network name does not
appear in the list of networks.
Refresh the list of networks.
1. Ensure that the Wi-Fi setting on your laptop (or other device) is
turned on.
2. Ensure that Wi-Fi is enabled on the mobile hotspot. The Wi-Fi icon on
the LCD should be blue (not gray). If you wake up the screen and the
icon remains gray, make sure Airplane Mode is turned off:
a. From the homescreen, tap Settings > Airplane Mode.
b. Tap the On/Off switch to change it to Off.
The No Signal icon appears on the
mobile hotspot’s home screen / AT&T
Unite Pro Manager homepage.
If the No Signal icon ( ) appears on the mobile hotspot’s home screen /
AT&T Unite Pro Manager homepage, make sure you are in your network
provider’s coverage area.
The Wi-Fi icon on the mobile
hotspot’s home screen is gray
(disabled).
If the Wi-Fi icon on the mobile hotspot’s home screen remains gray (radio
is disabled) after you wake up the device, it is likely in Airplane Mode (the
Airplane Mode icon will appear on the top left corner of the screen).
1. From the homescreen, tap Settings > Airplane Mode.
2. Tap the On/Off switch to change it to Off.
