6.10 Network Failure Detection
Network Failure Detection allows the IP Camera to ping another IP device (e.g. NVR, VSS,
Video Server, etc.) within the network periodically and generates some actions in case of
network failure occurs, for instance, a Video Server is somehow disconnected.
Being capable of implementing local recording (through Micro SD card) when network
failure happens, the IP Camera could be a backup recording device for the surveillance
system.
- Detection Switch
The default setting for the Detection Switch function is <Off>. Enable the function by
selecting <On>. Users can also activate the function according to the schedule time that
is previously set in the <Schedule> setting page. Select <By schedule> and click
<Please select…> to choose the desired schedule from the drop-down menu.
