Specifications

The ToolStar instrument is designed to analyze and evaluate fasteners,
assembly tools and bolted joints to ensure quality manufacturing. It is
an ideal research and development instrument for measuring fastener
or tool performance and joint analysis.
The ToolStar will process stored data to define fastener or tool per-
formance and assist technicians in understanding joint characteristics.
It will monitor, measure, display, record, plot and print graphs illus-
trating torque, angle, pulse count or bolt load. The coefficient of
friction can also be calculated, displayed and printed.
These features allow you to develop torque specifications and assist
in isolating causes of variation in the fastening process.
Data is processed to provide Cp, Cpk, X-Bar, Range and Sigma
values. All data is time/date stamped and can be output via the serial
communications port. Joint, fastener and/or tool plots can be stored,
recalled, printed and/or displayed and multiple plots can be easily
displayed for comparison.
