To Adjust Blade Spring
• Thetensionofthebladeadjustspringmaybealtered
topermitthebladetotiltforwardtobypasssolid
obstructions.Tochangethespringtension,adjust
thenutsatupperendofthespringbolt.Turnthenuts
counterclockwisetorelievetensionandclockwiseto
increasetension.Refertogure15onpage10.
To Adjust Blade Shoes
• Thebladeshoesattheendsofblademayberaised
forcloseworkonsmoothsurfacesorloweredtoraise
thebladetoworkonroughorunevenareas.Make
surebothshoesaresetevenlyandthatthenutsare
tightenedsecurely.Seegure25.

To Adjust the Blade Pivot Lock Mechanism
• Ifthebladewillnotunlockandpivot,theanglelock
barsarenotdisengagingfromtheslotsinthepivot
plate.Tocorrect,adjustthe5/16"hexjamnutstodraw
theendofthecontrolcablebacktowardsthecable
mountbracket.Thelessthethreadedendofthecable
extendsthroughthebracket,themoretheanglelock
barscanretracttodisengagefromtheslotsinthe
pivotplate.Seegure26.

dirtandrustandtouchupwithpaint.
