Diagnostic / Configuration Jumper
The SSR contains a diagnostic mode which will allow you to enter the configuration settings
regardless of the current configuration. This mode is entered by putting a jumper between
pins 1 and 5 on the green connector and cycling the power.
When in this mode the SSR will continuously transmit to the RS232 or RS485 connection a
count with each number followed by carriage return / line feed. The count will be transmitted
at the current baud rate and data format. You may use this count to determine the baud rate
of the SSR then match it with your terminal emulator program.
Entering “+++” will enter the configuration mode. You are in configuration mode when the
count stops and “OK” is returned. Configure the SSR as you would normally.
For normal operation you must remove the jumper. The jumper is for diagnostics only.
