The entries in the General folder are as follows:
4 Toggle Live Mode to OFF. Then click the Panel Driver folder,
and the dialog box appears as shown in
Figure 85.

Entry Description
Timeout The maximum number of seconds allowed for an I/O
transaction to complete before you get an error message.
Live Mode Specifies whether there is live communication with the
instrument. Set this to OFF unless you have an instrument
present. VEE defaults to the
ON setting.
Byte Ordering Specifies the order the device uses for reading and writing
binary data. The field toggles between Most Significant
Byte (MSB) first or Least Significant Byte first. All
IEEE488.2-compliant devices must default to MSB order.
Description Enter any description here. For example, if you want the
instrument number on the title bar, enter the number.
