Calibrator Output Operations 2
U1401A User’s and Service Guide 31
Memory Generation
For constant voltage and current outputs, the U1401A offers
two additional useful functions. One is an autoscan output
that is able to generate up to 16 different steps of constant
voltage or current each with its own user- defined amplitude
and time interval. The other one is an autoramp output
with user- defined dual slopes and number of steps for linear
simulation.
Autoscan output
To set the autoscan output:
1 Turn the rotary switch to any one of the (constant
current output) or (constant voltage output)
positions.
2 Press SHIFT to access the shifted operations of the keypad.
The annunciator will appear on the display.
3 Follow one of the instructions below:
• For voltage output, press MODE to cycle through ±1.5 V,
±15 V, ±1.5 V, ±15 V, ±1.5 V, and
±15 V output modes. Select one of the two
output modes, depending on the voltage range
you require.
• For current output, press MODE to cycle through
±25 mA, ±25 mA, and ±25 mA output
modes. Select the output mode.
