Low Range Current Programming
Step 1. Connect only the current measurement terminals of the Agilent
3458A to the output terminals.
Step 2. Select the low-current programming range. The value to program a
range must be the maximum current of the range. This example
selects the 100 mA range of output 1.
Front Panel:
SCPI Command:
Select System\Admin\Cal\Curr\Iprog.
Then select the Low1 range.
CAL:CURR 0.1

Step 3. Select the first current calibration point. Wait a minimum of 5
minutes for the output current to stabilize.
Front Panel: SCPI Command:
Select Next. The information field should indicate:
“Enter P1 measured data”
CAL:LEV P1
*OPC?
Step 4. Measure the current with the Agilent 3458A and enter the value.
Front Panel: SCPI Command:
Select the Measured Data field. Enter the data
from the external DMM. Press Select when done.
CAL:DATA <data>
Step 5. Select the second current calibration point. Wait a minimum of 30
seconds for the output current to stabilize.

SCPI Command:
Select Next. The information field should indicate:
“Enter P2 measured data”
CAL:LEV P2
*OPC?
Step 6. Measure the current with the Agilent 3458A and enter the value.
Front Panel: SCPI Command:
Select the Measured Data field. Enter the data
from the external DMM. Press Select when done.
Press Next to finish calibration.
