Upgrading Firmware
Follow the steps below to update the N9340B
firmware:
1 Download the latest N9340B firmware from
http://www.agilent.com/find/n9340b_upgrades
2 Extract files to the root directory of a USB stick.
You will see a folder named “N9340DATA” with
file Bappupgrade.hy.
3 Insert the USB stick into the top panel USB
connector.
4 Press [SYS] > {More} > {Upgrade} > {Firmware} to
activate the updating procedure. Press Enter to
upgrade the firmware. The analyzer will perform
the update automatically.
5 Unplug the USB stick and restart the N9340B
when message “All modules have been upgraded,
please restart” is displayed.
6 Press [SYS] > {More} > {Show System} to find the
updated MCU firmware version.
Ext Input
Toggles the channel for external input between Ref
and Tri g. Ref refers to a 10 MHz reference signal; Trig
refers to a TTL signal.
NOTE
Please make sure your USB stick is in FAT16 or FAT32 format.
USB stick with self-startup partition or multi-partitions is not
support by N9340B.
CAU-CAUTION
In updating process, there must be a constant power
supply to for at least 15 minutes. If power fails during the
updating process it can cause damage to the instrument.
