components that need to warm up before generating X-rays.

8 From the operator control panel (Figure 22) turn the X-
Ray Enable Key to Enable, and then push the X-Ray On
Button.

9 Go to the Service environment of the Medalist x6000
software by selecting Window > Service.

10 Select the Subsystem, Status and Control task.

11 Select the X-ray Source tab and click Initialize. This
will set the X-ray voltage to 160kv and current to 0
micro Amps.
Once the high voltage has ramped to about 160 kv in
the status display continue with the procedure.
Current should be set to 0 micro amps at this point.

12 Set the X-ray tube deflection coil voltages on the
E3620A for V1 to 12 Volts and V2 to 12 Volts. This is a
midrange value only used for the X-ray Safety Test.
