Technical data
If the Track PG Clock Frequency check box is selected, then the firmware will
control both frequency as well as the multiplier value. In this case the de-emphasis
box (Clock Multiplier) is clocked by a Half Rate Clock (DataRate/2) provided by the
Pattern Generator. So the two parameter of the Pattern Generator have now
influence on the clock multiplier’s frequency and multiplier. First it’s the data rate
of the instrument (can be change on the Pattern Generator – Bit Rate Setup dialog)
and the Half Rate Clock check box (can be changed on the Pattern Generator-
Clock/Trigger Output).
• If the Half Rate Clock check box is selected, the multiplier of the clock multiplier
will be set automatically to 2 and the frequency sent to the clock multiplier is
Data Rate/2.
• If the Half Rate Clock check box is not selected, the multiplier of the clock
multiplier will be set automatically to 1 and Data Rate itself is sent to the box.
This query returns the present frequency track state.
OUTPut[1]:CLOCk:MULTiplier[:VALue][?]
OUTPut[1]:CLOCk:MULTiplier[:VALue] <NR3>
OUTPut[1]:CLOCk:MULTiplier[:VALue]?
This command is applicable for N4916B. The command enables the clock frequency
multiplication. If the multiplier is set to 1, then the output clock frequency is the
same as the clock frequency at Clock In. The maximum allowed multiplier factor
is 2.
This query returns the present clock multiplier value.

OUTPut[1]:CLOCk:MULTiplier:LIST?
OUTPut[1]:CLOCk:MULTiplier:LIST?
This query is applicable for N4916B. The query returns a comma seperated list
which provides the allowed range of the multiplier. At this point of time the
following multiplier are allowed 1, 2.
