9 Acquire Commands
:ACQuire:POINts
(Memory depth)
Command
:ACQuire:POINts {AUTO | <points_value>}
The :ACQuire:POINts command sets the requested memory depth for an
acquisition. Before you download data from the oscilloscope to your
computer, always query the points value with the :WAVeform:POINts?
query or :WAVeform:PREamble? query to determine the actual number of
acquired points.
You can set the points value to AUTO, which allows the oscilloscope to
select the optimum memory depth and display update rate.
<points_value> An integer representing the memory depth.
The range of points available for a channel depends on the oscilloscope
settings of sampling mode, sampling rate, and trigger sweep. The following
tables show the range of memory values for the different memory options.
