Using the Oscilloscope
The horizontal scale and horizontal position controls now change how
the waveform is shown in the delayed sweep window. The horizontal
scale will change the amount of magnification, while the position will
change the part of the waveform in the main window that is shown in
the zoomed window.
• Press the [Zoom] key again to turn it off.
Setting the horizontal reference point
• Click one of the three vertical arrows in the horizontal and trigger
toolbar to set the horizontal position to the respective horizontal
reference position on the display – left, center, or right. Assuming the
horizontal position is at zero, left means the information on the display
is post- trigger; center means the information to the left of center is
pre- trigger and to the right is post- trigger; and right means the
information is pre- trigger.
• A non- zero horizontal position value is the time relative to the trigger
event at the selected horizontal reference point.
Using the Horizontal Setup dialog box
• You can use the Horizontal Setup dialog box to set scale, position, and
the horizontal reference. You can also set up the delayed time base
window, which presents a magnified view of an area of the waveform.
To access the Horizontal Setup dialog box, click the in the
Horizontal and Trigger toolbar, or choose Setup > Horizontal from the
menu.
