Troubleshooting

System Indicators

Each element in the system has indicators to help with problem identification. The

following indicators are fitted:

Error Indicators These tell the user that there is a failure within the system.

Error Messages These appear on the display and perform the same function as

the Error Indicators.

Active (ACT) Indicators These tell the user which element is currently active in the

system.

GP-IB Indicators These tell the user the current GP-IB status of each element.

Gating Indicator This is fitted to the Error Detector module and indicates when

a BER measurement is in progress.
