You may use this function when repairing a failed EEPROM, replacing a board, or for future

upgrades.

6WHS From the Instrument Configuration screen, press the softkey

to display the EEPROM Upgrade main screen.

6WHS Press the softkey to display the Select EEPROM screen

shown in Figure 2-7.

6WHS Press again to select the EEPROM upgrade (indicated on the

screen after the message Upgrade will be done to:)

6WHS Complete one of the following steps:

a. To perform an EEPROM upgrade ZLWKRXWVDYLQJFXVWRPHUFRQILJXUDWLRQVHWWLQJV,

press .

b. To perform an EEPROM upgrade DQGVDYHFXVWRPHUFRQILJXUDWLRQVHWWLQJV, press

6WHS Press to begin the programming process. The system displays the mes-

sage EEPROM programming in process. When the process is complete

(approximately one minute) the system displays the message... Programming

done.

6WHS Press to return to the Instrument Configuration screen.

6WHS Power down the monitor, disconnect the Flash Programming Tool and reinstall the

service port connector cover.

6WHS Power up the monitor and erase the Status Log. (Press ,

, , and .)

6WHS Perform the Performance Assurance test indicated in this chapter.
