RDS 3000 DGPS Baud Rate Settings
If your system includes a differential GPS receiver
(86154A-230), you must set the baud rate of the DCI
(Differential Corrections Inc.) Differential GPS model RDS 3000
to the same baud rate as that of the GPS to which it is
connected.
1 Connect the RDS 3000 power cable to the vehicle. (Refer to
the manufacturer’s documentation for details.)
2 Connect the differential GPS to the SERIAL port of the
computer.
3 Run the software supplied by DCI with the differential GPS
(rtcmon.exe). (The file is contained on the disk that comes
with 86154A-230.)
4 Press F1 to set the correct baud rate for the differential GPS.
Refer to Table 9 to set the baud rate for the Trimble model
you are using.

5 Press F2 to set the baud rate for the computer’s serial port.
When the differential GPS is correctly configured, it will start
to send legible information to the computer. If the
subscription is active, this information will be correction
data; otherwise it will be scanned frequencies.
