Configuring the E5810B on an Enterprise Network

IP ADDRESS ASSIGNMENT
DHCP Enterprise network
No action is required. The E5810B automatically receives an
IP address from the network DHCP server.
Non-DHCP Enterprise network
Set the DHCP setting to OFF, and update the IP Address,
Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway with the parameters
provided by your system administrator in “Enterprise
network information” on page 22.
HOSTNAME
DNS Enterprise network
If the network supports dynamic DNS, enter the
hostname provided by the system administrator. You can
now access the E5810B from your Web browser by using
the hostname.
If the network supports DNS, enter the DNS server IP
address provided by the system administrator.
Non-DNS Enterprise network
No action is required. Hostnames are not supported. Only IP
address can be used to communicate with the E5810B.
UNIVERSAL PLUG AND PLAY (UPnP)
UPnP is allowed on the Enterprise network
No action is required. However, if you want the E5810B to
be displayed in My Network Places, enable UPnP in your
operating system.
UPnP is not allowed on the Enterprise Network or you do
not want the E5810B to be displayed in My Network
Places
Disable UPnP in your operating system.
