Network protocols
The E5810B supports these network protocols: ARP, DHCP,
DNS, FTP, HTTP, ICMP, and RPC.
ARP
Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) is a TCP/IP protocol used
to convert an IP address into a physical address (DLC
address), such as an Ethernet address.
DHCP
Refer to DHCP.
DNS
Refer to DNS.
FTP
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is the protocol used on the
Internet for sending files.
HTTP
HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is the underlying
protocol used by the World Wide Web (WWW). HTTP defines
how messages are formatted and transmitted, and what
actions Web servers and browsers should take in response to
the various commands.
