Timebase DAC Calibration
Description
This calibration ensures that the signal generator has warmed-up sufficiently and then adjusts the coarse
and fine reference timebase DACs for minimum internal reference frequency error. The coarse and fine DAC
calibration factors are then stored in the signal generator’s firmware.
Required Test Equipment
Agilent 53132A Option 050 frequency counter
Use a 10 MHz house standard. (For example, an Agilent 5071A primary frequency standard or equivalent
can be used.)
Procedure
Figure 4-8 Timebase DAC Calibration Setup
1. Connect the equipment as shown above.
2. Preset all of the equipment.
3. Follow the instructions as they appear on the controllers display.
