• Floating Point Format
Figure 6-2 shows the floating point format. A numeric value is represented as a floating
point. For example, the numeric 1000 is expressed as “1.0E3”.

IEEE 32-Bit Floating Point Format
In this format, a numeric consists of four bytes. Therefore, assuming that one measurement
point consists of two pieces of a numeric, when 201 measurement points are transferred,
the total data length is 1608 bytes. A numeric is transferred into the format shown in
Figure
6-3.
