HPE6432_SetOutputPower

ViStatus HPE6432_SetOutputPower (ViSession

instrumentHandle, ViReal64 outputPower);

Purpose

This function automatically sets the ALC power level and output

attenuation when given a desired output power.

The following formula is used to compute output power:

where: Attenuator Level is 0 to 70 dB in 10 dB steps, and ALC Power

Level is between –10 dB and 0 dB.

Parameter List

instrumentHandle

Variable Type ViSession

This is the ViSession handle that is obtained from the Initialize

function. The instrumentHandle identifies a particular instrument

session.

outputPower

Variable Type ViReal64

This parameter specifies an output power setting.

Valid range: -90.0000 dBm to 25.00 dBm

Return Value

This return value reports the status of the Set Output Power function.
