HPE6432_SetFreqAlcAttenBit
ViStatus HPE6432_SetFreqAlcAttenBit (ViSession
instrumentHandle, ViReal64 frequency, ViReal64 alcPower,
ViUInt16 attenuation, ViUInt16 featureBits, ViUInt16
alcOffset);
Purpose
This function sets the output frequency, ALC power level, and
attenuation to specified values. Additional features can be specified by
passing a fourth parameter value that turns on different bits in the
featureBits parameter. An ALC integrator zero offset value can also be
supplied if the featureBits parameter sets Bit 3=1,
This function allows a single operation to set both frequency and power
so that the synthesizer can be rapidly moved from point to point in a
system environment without using the list mode.
NOTE When in high band, ALC switching speed can be maximized with
minimum settling and dwell times while using the fastest interface and
computer available. Examples are shown below of the average ALC
switching times required to set the ALC using different interfaces and
different speed computers
