Guidelines
Follow the steps in Figure 1-3 to return a relay multiplexer to a Agilent
Technologies Sales and Support Office or Service Center.
1 Prepare the Multiplexer
• Remove user wiring from terminal block
• Attach tag to module/pod that identifies
- Owner
- Model Number/Serial Number
- Service Required
• Place tagged device in approved anti-static bag
2 Package the Multiplexer
• Place packaged multiplexer in shipping carton*
• Place 75 to 100 mm (3 to 4 inches) of shock-
absorbing material around the multiplexer.
• Seal the shipping carton securely.
• Mark the shipping carton FRAGILE.
3 Ship the Multiplexer to Agilent Technologies
• Place address label on shipping carton
• Send carton to Agilent Technologies
*We recommend that you use the same shipping materials as those used in factory packaging (available from
Agilent Technologies).
For other (commercially-available) shipping materials, use a double-wall carton with a minimum 2.4 MPa (350 psi) test.
