Compensation and Measurement: Open and short compensations
are recommended before measurement. Short compensation is
performed by bringing down the shorting plate (which is already on
the fixture) to short all 4 terminals. Open compensation is
performed by bringing down both the open plate and the shorting
plate to separate the high terminals from the low terminals. After
performing open and short compensations, the DUT is inserted into
the test fixture. The figures below show how compensation and
measurement are performed.
