Performing the Limit Test
This section describes how to set the limit test and how to display the result of the
limit test. For details on this function, see
“Limit Test” on page 6-20.
To perform the limit test, set the composite limit test, individual limit tests, and
source output and measurement conditions, and then press the Trigger key.

Setting the Composite Limit Test
For details on the setup parameters, see “Composite Limit Test Setup dialog box” on
page 4-31.
1. Press the Function > Limit Test > Composite function keys.
The Composite Limit Test dialog box is displayed.
2. In the Ch field, set the channel to which the setting change is applied.
3. In the Limit Test field, set ON (enable) or OFF (disable) for the composite limit
test.
4. In the Mode field, set GRADING (grading mode) or SORTING (sorting mode)
for the operation mode.
5. In the Auto Clear field, set ON (enable) or OFF (disable) for the automatic clear
of the composite limit test result.
6. When the operation mode is GRADING, set IMMEDIATE (for outputting
results immediately) or END (for outputting results at the end) for the test result
output timing in the Update field.
7. In the Offset Cancel field, set ON (enable) or OFF (disable) for the offset cancel.
8. In the Offset field, set the offset value used for the offset cancel.
9. When the operation mode is GRADING, set a bit pattern that represents the limit
test pass state (Pass) in the Pass Pattern field.
10. When the operation mode is SORTING, set a bit pattern that represents the limit
test fail state (Fail) in the Fail Pattern field.
