Introduction
Rear View
In the EasyEXPERT operation mode, the SPGU outputs can be specified by the
PG number. PG1 and PG2 are assigned to the Output 1 and Output 2 terminals
of the SPGU at the lowest position. And the following PG numbers are assigned
to the outputs of the upper SPGUs in sequence. Use the PG number label
furnished with the B1500A or equivalent to identify the SPGU channel number.
C. WGFMU module
The waveform generator/fast measurement unit (WGFMU) h
as the Ch 1 and Ch
2 terminals and the following terminals to synchronize the operation between
WGFMUs or with an external equipment.
Sync Out: Connect to the Sync In of the slav
e WGFMU.
Sync In: Connect to the Sync Out of the master WGFMU.
Trig Out: Connect to the trigger input terminal of the equipment synchronized
with the WGFMU
output.
CAUTION Connect the Sync Out/In, and Trig Out terminals to the specified terminal properly.
Connecting to the other terminal may result in damage to the WGFMU.
Connect the connection cable between the WGFMU and the RSU (remote-sense and
switch unit) before turning the B1500A on. Changing the cable connection in the
power on state may damage the WGFMU and RSU. See Agilent B1530A User’s
Guide for cable connection and usage.
D. SMU module
The source/monitor unit (SMU) has two triaxial connectors, f
orce and sense, for
the Kelvin connections. The HRSMU (high resolution SMU) also provides a
D-sub connector (To ASU terminal) which is used to connect the dedicated ASU
(atto sense and switch unit). The HPSMU (high power SMU) occupies two slots.
In the EasyEXPERT operation mode, the SMUs can be speci
fied by the SMU
number. SMU1 is assigned to the SMU at the lowest position. And the following
SMU numbers are assigned to the upper SMUs in sequence. Use the SMU
number label furnished with the B1500A or equivalent to identify the SMU
number.
NOTE To use the ASU, connect the connection cables between the HRSMU and the
dedicated ASU before turning the B1500A on.
