Installation
Maintenance
Maintenance
Maintenance should be performed periodically to keep Agilent B1500A in good
condition.
Cleaning
Before performing cleaning, turn off the instrument, and disconnect power cable
from the rear panel. Use a dry cloth to clean the external case parts.
To prevent electrical shock, do not perform cleaning when the ins
trument is turned
on, and do not use a wet cloth.
Self-test and Diagnostics
Agilent B1500A provides the following functions to check the operation. Perform
the following functions as necessary. Open the measurement terminals to perform
self-test, self-calibration, or diagnostics.
• Self-test
Refer to “Modules” of “Configuration” on page 4-41.
• Self-calibration
Refer to “Calibration” on page 4-35.
• Diagnostics
Refer to “Main Frame” of “Configuration” on page 4-41.
If problems arise, contact Agilent Technolog
ies. Al
so see “Before Shipping to
Service Center” on page 9-12.
Calibration
Calibration and adjustments must be performed periodically so that the instruments
satisfy the specifications, and keep a good condition. It is recommended to perform
the calibration once a year at least. For the calibration and adjustments, contact
Agilent Technologies. Trained service personnel will perform the calibration and
adjustments. Also see “Before Shipping to Service Center” on page 9-12.
