On the Radio set the Receiver’s Controls as follows:
9 Set power to ON.
10 If required, set frequency to the same value as step 4
11 Set squelch to minimum.
12 Set RF Gain to maximum (if equipped).
13 Set coded squelch feature (if equipped) to OFF.
Refer to "Coded Squelch" on page 47 for information on opening
Receivers with coded squelch.
14 Slowly increase volume control until the AC Level reaches the Receiver’s
rated output power, or reaches a maximum level (stops increasing).
Refer to audio output specifications for the Receiver being tested as
required.
NOTE: If the rated output cannot be obtained, troubleshoot and repair the Receiver’s
audio stages is necessary.
Measurement results are displayed on the Test Set as shown.
